A resting place cared for by the people who remember

Since Lexington handed over its care in 2018, the Odd Fellows Cemetery has depended entirely on gifts from families like yours. Search for your family's memorial, or help us keep this ground preserved for the next generation.

Our Heritage · Since 1851

Founded by the Odd Fellows to bury the dead with dignity.

The B. S. Tappan Odd Fellows Lodge No. 22, chartered in 1849, set this ground apart two years later, keeping the order’s charge to “visit the sick, relieve the distressed, bury the dead and educate the orphan.”

For more than 150 years the City of Lexington maintained it. In 2018 that care passed to a small group of volunteers. Care alone doesn’t cut grass, reset fallen monuments or keep records current. That is why LOFC exists, and why it depends on you.

Neighbors and descendants, not a management company

LOFC is run by a volunteer board of directors and a handful of standing committees — neighbors and descendants, not a management company. We’re a 501(c)(13) nonprofit, our finances are open to public review, and every dollar given goes toward maintaining and preserving this cemetery.
